 One 2 One’s speed dating event, held on Thursday 27th November, was a resounding success, and resulted in a massive 92% of mutual matches being made! Statistically only 55% of people attending a speed dating event find mutual matches, so this particular evening was a great opportunity to form new friendships for all those who attended. As most participants had one or more matches to choose from they now have the chance to explore further dates with those who caught their eye on the night.
The event was held at Corks Wine Bar, which was closed as an exclusive private party and all the participants attended on a confidential basis, with entry being by ticket only.
The night commenced with our registration process and each participant was served with complimentary champagne and tapas that were kindly provided by Corks Wine Bar. To put participants at ease, we had a fun ice-breaker game which everyone agreed helped put them in the mood to chat and mingle.
Once everyone was ready we began the mini-dates. These proved so much fun that on a number of occasions we had to ask repeatedly that people move on to their next date, as they were so caught up in their conversation!!
During the intervals participants continued to socialise and had time to refresh their drinks. This was also the point at which they updated their match-cards seeing as everything was fresh in their minds.
After the speed dating event itself had ended, we held a free raffle where Corks, Café Solo, Little Rock Café, Seruya, The Jewel Box and Amiee Jay donated various gifts including meals for two, jewellery, perfume and other fun items.
Overall the night had a great buzz and vibe to it, and not only were matches made but friendships were formed, with the party carrying on in Casemates until the early hours of Friday morning!
Since that evening we have received lots of positive feedback from the participants and the below comments were made:
